Who we are
This website helps neighbors learn about The Longest Table Harlem Block Party (Saturday, September 19th, 2026, on West 137th Street) and sign up to volunteer or share photos.
Information we collect
Volunteer sign-up
If you submit the volunteer form, we collect:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Time you are available on the day
- What you would like to do
We store this in our Supabase database so organizers can staff the event and get in touch.
Photo uploads
If you use Share a photo, we store the image file you upload in Supabase Storage.
- New photos are saved as pending and do not appear on the public slideshow.
- An organizer reviews each photo. Approved photos may be shown on the Past Block Parties slideshow.
- Rejected photos stay off the public site.
We do not ask for your name with a photo upload.
Admin sign-in
If someone signs in at the admin page, the site sets an httpOnly session cookie so they can stay signed in while reviewing photos. Visitors who never open the admin page do not get this cookie.
Contact email
The Questions? Contact Us link opens your email app. That message is sent through email, not stored by this website.
How we use information
We use volunteer details to organize the block party and follow up with volunteers. We use uploaded photos to share community pictures on this site after review.
How we store information
Volunteer records and photos are stored with Supabase, which hosts the database and file storage for this project.
What we do not do
This app does not include advertising, third-party analytics, or social-media tracking pixels. We do not sell personal information.
How long we keep information
We keep volunteer sign-ups and photos as long as they are useful for organizing and documenting the event. You can ask us to remove your volunteer details or an uploaded photo.
